How It Works
Here is a complete rundown on how the 11MODE Exhaust Controller works!
Your car is hiding its full potential!
Cars with factory-fitted valved exhaust systems are controlled by the car's driving modes and driving conditions (RPMs, throttle positions, gears, speeds etc.)
In Eco / Comfort modes, the valves are often closed
In "loud" Sport / Race / M modes, the valves are open... some of the time
The truth is... even in these "loud" modes, the valves do not stay fully open all the time!
The Exhaust Controller keeps the valves 100% open in any drive mode and reverts back to car control at the press of a button.
The controller has two modes:
-
ON
Valves will stay 100% open in all drive modes all the time.
Prevents the car from closing the valves.
-
OFF
Valves return to normal and move as they normally do.
Car regains complete control of valves.
Note: it does not force the valves closed
Forcing the valves closed could potentially cause damage if the car requires them to be open under high load conditions.

Important notes
-
OFF Returns Valves to Normal
The controller does force the valves closed.
•
Shown in the video at 0:41
•
It switches between holding valves open and returning back to car control (still open).
-
Sport / Race / M Modes
While stationary these modes already keep the valves open.
•
However, while driving they do not. The valves close at certain RPMs, throttle positions, gears, speeds etc.
•
The controller will keep them open always!
-
Memory
When the car is powered off, the controller returns to OFF by default.
•
You can use the controller anytime there is power to the valves with the ignition on or with the doors unlocked (on some cars).
•
There is no memory feature.
Some Common Questions
But they're already open in sport mode?
In the car's loudest mode the car opens the valves for only some of the time. Even in loud / sport modes they close in certain RPMs, throttle positions, speeds and gears. The role of the exhaust controller is to keep the valves fully open all the time no matter what drive mode and throughout the entire RPM range.
The controller will get the most out of whichever exhaust system you have as the valves will now be fully open all the time instead of only some of the time.
Where can I notice it?
The Exhaust Controller will enhance the exhaust sound within specific RPM ranges / modes / speeds when the valves are normally closed.
While stationary the valves can be open in the loud modes already, especially when the car is warming up, so the difference will be while driving.
Will it make it louder?
The controller will get the most out of whichever exhaust system you have as the valves will now be fully open all the time instead of some of the time.
It does not increase the maximum volume achievable by the exhaust system (e.g., at full throttle or high RPM when the car's valves are already open), as this would require physical modifications to the exhaust system.
The sound difference will depend on the specific make / model and the exhaust design. All different makes and models have different exhaust designs and ways in which the car car controls the valves.
How to install it?
The 11MODE Exhaust Controller can be installed in just minutes!
See the full install guide here.
Unlike other controllers there is no cable management to worry about!
