Press the ON / open / 11MODE (∿) button and bypass your car's control of the exhaust flaps and fully open them.

Press the OFF / close / quiet (—) button and return the valve control back over to the car, and the exhaust acts like normal.
The valves are never forced closed.

FAQ

Why do I need this?

Your car does not fully open the exhaust valves. Although your car does have a "loud mode" either race, track or some other variation, that opens the exhaust valves, in reality it does not actually fully open the valve and even closes at certain engine or car speeds. The 11MODE Exhaust Controller gives you full control to open your exhaust up to 11.

I have an aftermarket exhaust, will it work?

If your aftermarket exhaust retains your factory exhaust valve actuators / motors, then the Exhaust Controller will still work.

If your car normally has only one valve motor but the aftermarket exhaust now has two valve motors, please let us know or leave a comment in the order notes.

Why does the ( — ) button not close the valves?

Forcing the valve closed could potentially cause damage to the engine and exhaust system, because if the ECU requires the valve to be open, but it is forced closed, it may be detrimental to the car's safety or performance. That is why pressing the close button reverts the exhaust motor control back to normal car operation, instead of forcing the valve closed and potentially causing damage.

Does it have a memory function?

The controllers return back to normal car control for the default state by design. This allows the car to calibrate the valves upon startup if need be. So you will need to press the open button upon each startup or with the ignition to open the valves.

Good modification

A bit fiddly to fit but great product. Would suggest dropping exhaust to get more access. About an hour to fit in total on 9.5 RS4.

I'm impressed

Genuinely impressed and happy. I added the 11mode device to my RS4 and now it sounds like it should have done from factory. Not overly loud (which I didn't want) but turned up enough to make me smile. Easy to fit even with limited space by my exhaust and I now have the option I wanted.

Astonishingly easy to install as advertised!

I have been looking at valve controllers for my RS3 8Y for yearsbut found them complicated to install. Then I came across 11Mode. It looked too easy to be true but installing was a breeze. It took me 10 minutes on theright side because the socket was facing away from the exhaust. The other side took 2 minutes! And it works as advertised! only downside is the lack of memory setting but for the price, this is a steal! Strongly recommend!
