FAQ

Why do I need this?

Your car does not fully open the exhaust valves. Although your car does have a "loud mode" either race, track or some other variation, that opens the exhaust valves, in reality it does not actually fully open the valve and even closes at certain engine or car speeds. The 11MODE Exhaust Controller gives you full control to open your exhaust up to 11.

I have an aftermarket exhaust, will it work?

If your aftermarket exhaust retains your factory exhaust valve actuators / motors, then the Exhaust Controller will still work.

If your car normally has only one valve motor but the aftermarket exhaust now has two valve motors, please let us know or leave a comment in the order notes.

Why does the ( — ) button not close the valves?

Forcing the valve closed could potentially cause damage to the engine and exhaust system, because if the ECU requires the valve to be open, but it is forced closed, it may be detrimental to the car's safety or performance. That is why pressing the close button reverts the exhaust motor control back to normal car operation, instead of forcing the valve closed and potentially causing damage.

Does it have a memory function?

The controllers return back to normal car control for the default state by design. This allows the car to calibrate the valves upon startup if need be. So you will need to press the open button upon each startup or with the ignition to open the valves.

Very simple device executed brilliantly

Very simple device executed brilliantly. Well made, very easy to fit (took five mins per side) and very effective. Really adds to the enjoyment of the car pootling around at slow speeds in particular. Recommended.

Fantastic Customer Service, thank you

I added this to my Audi V8 TT. I was seeking that little bit more without ruining the overall luxury that is the car. It’s great having the that beautiful cold start gurgle at the push of a button. Under load is where you appreciate this shuttle change. This install took me 5 mins even though Audi made it difficult one said to get to. For the price I’m extremely happy and as I said the customer service that is missing in most businesses today is not with 11 mode. I thank and appreciate their quick response and back and forth communication.

I’m very happy with this product

I’m very happy with this product. Installation was easy, and the price is quite reasonable. I especially like the compact size of the remote—it doesn’t take up much space in the car, which makes it very convenient.

In terms of functionality, it addresses areas where I previously felt my RS3 was lacking, so I’m very satisfied. I’m using it with the stock exhaust, so while there’s no dramatic change in volume, I actually prefer that. It allows me to use the car for everyday driving or even bring it to the dealership without any issues.

Since I’ve only just started using it, I can’t comment on durability yet, but I have high hopes.

Easy to install, easy to use

As the title says, it's easy to install. Took all of five minutes to install both controllers. Love the sound now. The only issue I have is that it resets to closed mode after the car shuts down. Not sure if there's a workaround to that but understandable that it reverts to "normal" after shutting down.
On my Audi you can program your garage door opener with your remote to open and close the valves.
Overall a great product without having to tap into wires and is completely reversible.
